Cone Beam CatScans: Unrivaled Diagnostics and Guided Implants
Dr. Sussman and Dr. Pogal were early to adapt to the changes being introduced and developed with computer assisted bioengineering in the field of dentistry (CAD/CAM).
Early on, our office invested in CAD/CAM equipment and software that enables our patients to have custom designed porcelain crowns, veneer laminates and different types of restorative mercury-free onlays created in our office all within one day.

More recently, with the rapid advancements being made in hybrid scanning technologies for dentistry, our doctors are now providing Rochester area patients with access to Cone Beam 3 Dimensional Imaging that creates new standards in diagnostics and treatment possibilities.
Three Dimensional xrays (ctscans) offer levels of detail that are impossible to achieve with old fashioned xrays. Amount, quality and density of bone tissue is readily apparent. Critical structures including the actual positioning of the Mandibular Nerve and Sinus areas enable patients to undergo treatments with unheard of precision. Guesswork is essentially eliminated.

ICat Cone Beam: Safety - Precision
Patients wanting the advantages of catscan imaging are referred to a partner imaging service to obtain an ICat scan which is efficient (scan takes 20 seconds) and very safe (radiation is a mere fraction of traditional dental xrays).
The imaging software used in our Consultations also enables patients to see, for the first time, digital assessments of bone quantity and quality, especially as it applies to old treatment histories that might include old tooth extractions, previous bridgework, the use of dentures and partials and various degrees of periodontitis.
Guided Implants - Precision Surgery Templates
In addition to providing a wealth of diagnostic data that assures the best options for reconstructing bone quality and density, our Treatment Planning Software enables our doctors to design Implant Guides for obtaining the best implant positioning possible. Freehand placement of implants is eliminated, thereby assuring our patients of the highest degree of success possible.
Special Use Hybrid Implants
Implant devices continue to be researched and developed at a rapid pace. Dr. Sussman and Dr. Pogal use a variety of manufacturers, providing access to some of the most highly developed special application implants for all areas of the upper and lower jawbones.
The specifications of our implant devices are built into the treatment planning software. Patients can see how the software creates the perfect digital placement of the implant, to engineering specifications. Single and multiple implants, whether used for individual teeth or fixed bridge, denture prosthetics or overdentures, achieve a level of perfected placement made possible with the Implant Guide.
